Understanding Emotionally Based School Non-Attendance (EBSNA) A Practical Session for Parents and Educators (18th Sept 2025, 7-8pm on Zoom)

£20.00

Thursday 18th September 2025: 7-8pm on Zoom

Recording (60 mins) available after 18th September

As an experienced Educational Psychologist, previous Deputy Headteacher and parent of teenagers, Hannah brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and expertise to her work as founder of RocketEd. Hannah has a particular interest in Emotionally Based School Non-Attendance (EBSNA), drawing on her extensive experience to help families and schools understand and respond to the underlying emotional needs affecting school engagement.

Emotionally Based School Non-Attendance (EBSNA) is an increasingly recognised issue affecting children and young people across the UK. In this session, Hannah will cover how EBSNA manifests, why it is on the rise and explore why so many children and young people are struggling to attend school. Whether you're a parent seeking reassurance and direction or an educator keen to support children and young people more effectively, this session offers real insight, relatable examples and realistic steps you can take. Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of the emotional drivers behind school avoidance, as well as practical, compassionate strategies to support children and young people both at home and in school.

All sessions take place live on Zoom from 7pm to 8pm and are recorded for those who wish to revisit the content or cannot attend the session live. Recordings will be available to view for 30 days after the session. Please note that certificates of attendance are issued only to those who attend the live event, as we are unable to verify engagement with recorded sessions.
